The PET One-Material Blister foil (OMB™) from Liveo Research has received recyclability certification from the TCEP (Tray Circularity Evaluation Platform). Both the forming and lidding foils are of PET (polyethylene terephthalate), which offers a more sustainable solution to the standard PVC and aluminum blister packaging commonly used. This mono-material is approved for use in the primary packaging of pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals and can also be recycled.
The innovative PET/PET blister offers an eco-friendly alternative to PVC/aluminum blisters, providing equivalent barrier properties and the same easy push-through functionality. Plus, its lighter weight further enhances its environmental benefits.
The Romaco Noack N 760
The Romaco Noack N 760 is a versatile, space-saving blister packaging machine designed to handle various applications. handles everything from solid dosage forms and ampoules to medical devices and semi-solids, producing blisters up to 155 x 138 mm and 25 mm deep.
Product changeovers are fast and straightforward, thanks to lightweight format parts and electronically stored parameters. With outputs up to 200 blisters per minute, the N 760 is ideal for small to medium batch sizes and contract packaging needs that demand flexibility. Feeding options range from manual to fully automatic, and the swing-out electrical cabinet ensures easy maintenance.
In addition, the short foil web path minimizes waste, and the machine can be seamlessly integrated with cartoners and case packers.
