New PMX 4001 vertical bagger for both ground and whole-bean coffee, from Syntegon.

Packaging equipment OEM Syntegon has introduced a new vertical bagging machine designed to handle the latest sustainable materials used for coffee packaging.
The new packaging system, which has a compact footprint and can handle up to 65 bags per minute, will be launched at the Fachpack show later this month.
“Currently, many manufacturers do not or not fully meet the requirements of the European Union’s Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which will take effect in 2030. They are now looking for solutions. At the same time, aroma protection and quality remain crucial, especially for coffee. With the PMX 4001, we are helping our customers meet these requirements.”
~ Christina Holm, Product Manager at Syntegon
The PMX 4001 can handle traditional composite packaging films and emerging mono-materials, making it a flexible solution for coffee packages. It can also automatically insert recyclable, mono-material, degassing valves.
The machine comes as standard with Syntegon’s Industry 4.0 Synexio Empower system, which constantly monitors all of the machine’s systems and resources.
See the Syntegon site for more info, and you can visit them at Fachpack, booth 1-257 and Pack Expo International at booth S-2914.
