Kyocera Corporation is introducing a new range of barcode label printheads, the TPA Series, engineered for use in desktop label and receipt printers.
Desktop thermal printers are utilized in various industries, including healthcare, retail, logistics, and others. It has been quite some time since there was a significant upgrade to the most important component, the printhead.
The new Kyocera TPA Series printheads bring some key advantages over previous generations:
- 250 mm/sec maximum print speed – usually desktop printers are limited to 150-200 mm/sec.
- Excellent print quality, even at high printing speeds
- Less critical head mounting position tolerance, allowing for easier setup
- Improved environmental resistance and low wear for long service life
The new printheads are expected to be available in August 2025, and they offer a means for printer OEMs to offer enhanced printing solutions to meet the demands of their customers.
