New Digital Press for Wynalda Packaging

Digital print technology has made huge inroads into the packaging industry recently, and folding carton manufacturing is no exception.

Michigan-based Wynalda Packaging has recently invested in a digital printing system from Landa to enhance its capabilities.

The Landa S10 chosen by Wynalda, is a 7-color digital print system that covers 96% of the color gamut, allowing it to handle just about every printing application.

The system uses Landa’s NanoInk® inks – a water-based ink composed of ultra-fine pigment particles that can print at 1,200 DPI, matching traditional offset printing for print quality. The NanoInk inks also allow for excellent adhesion on a wide range of substrates.

““We hope to have the press on the floor in a few weeks and be ready to run in April.

The print quality is excellent, and I don’t anticipate us having any issues selling the quality and color to our customers.”

~ Robert Wynalda III, VP of Sales – Wynalda Packaging.

Since the digital system needs no printing plates or calibration, this is an ideal solution for short and medium print runs as well as for personalized promotions and variable designs. With outputs up to 6,500 sheets for hour, the Landa S10 can match the speeds of offset presses as well.

With it’s solvent-free inks and less waste materials created for setup, the new press helps with sustainability goals as well.

As you can see from the image above, the Landas S10 is an impressive printing system, and you can read more at these links:
