If your brand is looking to migrate to the GS1 2D Digital Link barcodes for your retail products, you’ll be aware that there is a lot more involved than simply getting a new symbol printed on your package, particularly if you want to take advantage of everything that Digital Link can offer.
The coding and labeling solutions OEM has launched additions to its CoLOS platform to bridge the gap between printing a GS1 Digital Link QR code and ensuring brands and consumers get the most from it.
The new solutions, CoLOS 2D Activate and CoLOS 2D Engage, are designed as tools for brands transitioning to 2D barcodes ahead of GS1 Sunrise 2027.
The new additions help CPG and FMCG brands create, organize, activate and manage static and dynamic GS1 Digital Link QR codes. A new consulting service supports them by assessing a manufacturer’s production environment, coding processes and operational readiness for their 2D code journey.

CoLOS 2D Activate handles code creation and management, including automated generation of static and variable codes, URL destination management, scan analytics and enterprise data integration.
CoLOS 2D Engage manages the online experience, allowing dynamic 2D codes to send the person scanning to the appropriate web destination based on GTIN, region, language and custom parameters. Customers can build the complete experience right in CoLOS 2D Engage.
This looks to be a good addition to CoLOS, helping customers get the most from their 2D barcode migration.
