Label production equipment Mark Andy and Domino Printing have combined to produce a new DSiQ-730 hybrid label press engineered to meet the label converting industry’s ever-changing demands and need for flexibility.
The press combines flexo and digital printing with an exceptional digital resolution of up to 1,200 x 1,200 DPI.

What is Hybrid Printing?
Hybrid label printing combines digital and traditional flexo printing methods in one press. This setup allows for greater flexibility, customization, and efficiency.
Digital Printing: Is ideal for printing information in text and barcode formats, such as serialization and other data. It is often used for small batches and jobs with multiple SKUs because it doesn’t require printing plates, and setup is faster than conventional technologies.
Flexographic Printing: Flexo printing tends to be used for longer runs, consistent quality, and handling specialty inks or finishes. Because printing plates need to be produced, changeover takes longer than digital, but flexo is often more economical for longer runs.
Hybrid presses combine the best of both worlds, allowing you to switch between or integrate both methods in a single pass. This means you can print high-quality, customized labels with unique elements while maintaining the cost efficiency and speed of traditional methods for fixed elements.
Mark Andy and Domino
Mark Andy and Domino have combined their expertise to offer state-of-the-art hybrid printing systems for several years. These systems enable converters to benefit from the versatility of digital printing, including variable data and customization, while maximizing efficiency by integrating flexographic and digital technologies into a single process.
This combined approach allows for producing high-quality labels in a single pass, improving workflow and reducing production times.
“Hybrid printing is transforming the industry, and the efficiencies of single-pass technology are precisely what our customers are looking for. Our partnership with Domino exemplifies our commitment to providing innovative hybrid printing solutions that meet the needs of our customers. The introduction of the DSiQ-730 reinforces our focus on delivering high-quality, efficient hybrid presses that offer the automation and precision our converters expect.”

The new DSiQ-730 system uses a digital print module incorporating the Domino N610i UV inkjet system.
The digital printer can cover over 90% of the Pantone color range, and the UV-cured inks produce excellent print quality on a wide range of substrates.
