When it comes to late-stage customization (LSC) in the pharmaceutical industry, no one has more experience than HAPA.
The Hapamatic machine for inline printing of blister foil was introduced in 1970, and I recall seeing HAPA labelers in pharma plants in the early 1990s, printing the complete label for vials in four spot colors. The introduction of a blister printer with UV-cured inks was in the mid-1990s (if I remember correctly), and of course, the company has since become a leader in digital printing.
At Pack Expo Las Vegas, HAPA will be showing its new digital label printer, the H863 labeljet.

The H863 labeljet is a true LSC printing device – taking blank or generic labels and printing them with all the required information, barcodes, and graphics in one or two colors. It is engineered to be integrated into continuous or intermittent labeling or packaging systems.
The system is based on HAPA’s proven Redcube high-resolution digital inkjet system and is ideal for printing labels for bottles, vials and ampoules.

As well as printing high-quality text, the system can also print logos, compliance icons and both linear and 2D barcodes, making it ideal for producing serialized labels for DSCSA, UDI and other regulatory needs.
With HAPA’s pedigree in life sciences, you can be sure that getting the equipment qualified and validated will be straightforward.
If you are attending Pack Expo Las Vegas, you can see the H863 labeljet in the West Hall, at the Coesia booth W-1064 – you can also get more information at the HAPA website.
