Fox IV Technologies, a print-apply labeling specialist, will launch a new automatic print-apply labeler at Pack Expo International 2024.

The FOX IV 6312 is designed as an entry-level machine, ideal for companies taking the first steps in labeling automation.
“The large 4.5” touchscreen, built-in PLC, and simplified applicator controls makes the 6312 easy for operators to use. It can be set up on a new or existing conveyor or used with a manual trigger for semi-automatic labeling.”
~ Catherine Hornsby – Fox IV Marketing Manager
The 6312 looks very similar to the existing Fox IV machines, and the use of a Postek MX Series print engine with integrated controls is a new addition.
These printers are not very common in the US market; this is the first time I’ve seen a mainstream US labeling company use one in a print-and-apply application. Postek is a Chinese printer manufacturer with a wide portfolio of thermal label printers.

The printer uses a built-in PLC, which apparently can control the complete system. It has a lot of connectivity and its own scripting language that can allow labeling operations without external PLCs or computers.
The MX print engine is available with 203, 300 and 600 dpi resolutions (The Fox IV 6312 is using the 203 dpi version) and can also be configured to encode and verify RFID labels.
I look forward to seeing this new print-apply labeler at the show. Several companies have attempted to produce entry-level machines in the past, but a problem has been the cost of the print engine from the usual manufacturers. I’m wondering how the Postek printer changes the dynamic.
If you are attending Pack Expo in Chicago, you can visit Fox IV at booth N-4936 in the north hall.
In the meantime, the Fox IV site has more information on the 6310 Series of labeling systems.
