Domino Announces New Generation CO2 Laser Coder

At the recent FACHPACK show in Nurenburg, Domino Printing Sciences launched the latest iteration of its CO2 laser line – the Domino Dx-Series.

Designed to be capable of operating of increased speeds of up to 30% without sacrificing printed code quality, compared to the previous generation of CO2 laser coders.

With power outputs of 20W, 30W and 60W, the lasers should be able to handle just about every application, and Domino says they are going to be ideal for customers needing to print high-quality QR codes for applications such as the GS1 Digital Link.

“Interest in laser technologies in the coding and marking industry is booming, with global market growth predicted at rates of almost 10% CAGR until 2029. This growth has been driven in part by global government policies and regulatory frameworks driving the need for high-resolution, on product 2D codes.”

~ Frauke Schroeder, Senior Product Manager – Laser, Domino

The DX series lasers are built to handle the conditions found on today’s packaging lines – they can operate in ambient temperatures of up to 45°C and the laser can be protected up to IP65 standards.

The new lasers obviously compatible with Domino’s fume and particle extraction systems, as well as their inline print inspection solutions.
