New Hampshire based Amherst Label won a Best in Class award at last year’s TLMA Printing Excellence Awards.
The label was made for Baxter Brewing in Maine for cans of their 13 Below Cold IPA and won the award in the alcoholic beverage category.

13 Below was a limited release for the craft brewer’s 13th anniversary and required a small run of only 7,000 labels. Amherst Label increased the production run to 10,000 labels by combining it with another SKU that was needed at the same time.
The label material was a metalized film, and Amherst Label used an MPS-Domino hybrid flexo-digital press for the printing duties. The label was finished with a rough-textured UV varnish.
The Hybrid press is equipped with Domino’s N610i digital printer. This is one of the most advanced in the industry and enables label converters to produce sophisticated label designs, even in small quantities.
