Yeah, it seems that AI is becoming a mainstream technology just about everywhere in our lives these days. What did we do without it?
Product traceability and supply chains are no exception to the growth of AI and a new AI-based ChatBot, WiliBot, from Internet of Things (IoT) pioneer, Wiliot

Wiliot’s solutions are based on their Ambient IoT platform.
This uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) tags (Wiliot calls them iOT Pixels) attached to items and then sends back encrypted data in real-time. These IoT Pixels communicate via Bluetooth information such as location, temperature, humidity, and carbon footprint to the Wiliot cloud, where businesses analyze the data.
Some of the uses for Ambient IoT include:
- Supply Chain Visibility: IoT Pixels can be attached to products, packaging, or shipping containers to provide real-time tracking and monitoring throughout the supply chain.
- Carbon Footprint Tracking: They enable companies to calculate and analyze the carbon footprint of shipping, storage, and other supply chain processes.
- Inventory Management: Retailers can use IoT Pixels to improve inventory accuracy, optimize stock levels, and enhance omnichannel distribution.
- Food Safety and Freshness: IoT Pixels help monitor temperature and conditions of perishable goods, reducing waste and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Circular Economy: They can be used to track and manage reusable packaging and containers, reducing waste and promoting sustainability
This is all very clever, but it generates a whole lot of data.
“Ambient IoT and generative AI are increasingly symbiotic technologies. Ambient IoT generates vast amounts of data about trillions of everyday things, and GenAI can uniquely make sense of all that data. On the flipside, GenAI learns by analyzing vast amounts of data. To a real extent, that data has so far been finite, but ambient IoT presents massive new physical world datasets that a GenAI platform like WiliBot — and others — can use to describe products, materials, supply chains, and everything connected to the internet.”
~ Wiliot CEO Tal Tamir
The WiliBot platform allows users to communicate with their products and supply chains using natural language. They can ask about the location of assets, the shelf life of a particular item, a product’s carbon footprint and much more.
The platform can make huge amounts of data much easier to manage and get the needed information.
